      The main process that the sun generates light is by something called ‘thermal emission’, the basic idea is that the sun is pretty hot 5500 degrees Celsius, this means that atoms inside the sun are very energetic bouncing off one another and due to this they emit light.

      Think of coal in a fire, once the coal is extremely hot it begins to glow, the sun is the exact same!
