• Question: why does the moon seem so big recently?

      The moon looks so big at the minute because it’s in a “Supermoon” phase. A supermoon happens when there is a new or full moon at the same time as when the moon is closest to the Earth in it’s monthly orbit. According to astronomers, the next supermoon as impressive as this one will not be until November 25, 2034!
