• Question: why is the moon sometimes out in the day ?

      Great question!

      Whether or not we see the moon during the day depends on how bright it is and the earth’s rotation. In order to see the moon, it needs to be above the horizon (where the earth’s surface and the sky meet), which it actually is for nearly 12 hours every day. If it’s a bright enough day, lots of light from the sun will be reflected or bounce off the moon so that it is visible to us here on earth!
