      As long as the light is travelling through air only so there is nothing in the way to slow it down, light can travel at a huge speed of almost 300 million meters in 1 second. So that’s pretty fast! For comparison, sounds can travel only 340 meters in 1 second.

      One other interesting fact about the velocity of light is that, there is nothing, I mean NOTHING that can be faster than light in vacuum. Albert Einstein explained this in his Relativity Theory.

      So the Photon is like the Flash of the particles!

      Nearly 300 million meters per second! So that means in just one second light could travel over 7 times around the earth… WOW
