• Question: How long does it take to do a experiment?

      That totally depends on the experiment. In school you may do an experiment that could take 30 minutes but then there are experiments that can take hours, weeks, months or even years!! I am currently doing a clinical trial, which is like a longterm experiment to test if an eye drop will work to try stop shortsightedness in children. It will take 3 or 4 years to complete!

      Saoirse it completely right, an experiment could take seconds or it could take years! Most of the experiments that I do in the lab with the lasers take between 1 minute and 1 hour, but I generally have to run these experiments over and over to make sure the result is correct.
