      Hello Saoirse,

      What sunlight has that makes nature grown is energy. Energy is the capacity of making work, in this context work means moving things around.

      So take for example a plant. If you have a seed in soil and water it will not grow unless there is sunlight. The plant needs the energy from the sunlight to move the atoms from the soil and water and convert them into a plant!
