Well there’s a community of people in America called ‘Amish people’ who live on big areas and do not use electricity or no modern technology and they get on ok?

However I think as a whole society has benefited hugely from electricity! Think of all we can do today by using computers and the internet, think of how much medicine has progressed since the invention of electricity. Humans live longer, better lives due to electricity so personally I do not think life would be as easy or nice as we have it now without electricity.

We wouldn’t have nearly as long a life without advances in modern medicine, we wouldn’t be able to feel as safe without alarms and street lights, we wouldn’t be able to communicate throughout the world and wouldn’t have the level freedom we are used to. All in all I think the world wouldn’t be a very nice place at all without electricity, it would go back to industrial times when things were a lot worse

I would not like to live in an electric free world like the Amish. I think the use of electricity has made life so much better as Stephen mentioned.

One more consequence of not having electricity will be the impossibility of having this conversation, since there will not be internet. That means no Youtube or Netflix neither!
